We now conclude our elective with completion of the second colour of our prints! Well done everyone!
*Apologies for the shadows on the pictures... Today, we completed the first colour for our foam board prints. This is a type of printing where one has to indent areas on a piece if foam board to create a printing plate. Next week, we shall finish with the second colour. Mono Prints are prints that can only be done once. The plates used to make the print are often times discarded.
One form of printing is stamping. We explored making our own stamps with the materials we had present : wood blocks, and furniture felts. We then used those stamps to create an interesting patterns on a previously painted piece of paper. Today was the first day of Print Making. Our first project was about mirror images using paint. Designs were created using the student's name as a subject. |
